The Stone Valley Golf Resort project covers a total area of 280 hectares with an investment of over 1,000 billion VND, developed by Truong An Golf Joint Stock Company. The project is divided into two phases:
- Phase 1 includes an 18-hole golf course and a clubhouse.
- Phase 2 consists of a second 18-hole golf course and a luxury resort villa area.
The amenities at Stone Valley are top-notch, featuring a grand clubhouse overlooking the front nine holes, serving as both a staging area and a focal point. The locker rooms meet the high expectations of a private member's club. While the restaurant could offer more food options, it is well-stocked with cold beer and delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Additionally, the caddie service is outstanding.
Stone Valley is unlike any other golf course in Hanoi. The breathtaking scenery alone is worth the drive, but when combined with an exciting golf experience and a world-class clubhouse, it becomes a must-visit destination for all golfers traveling to Hanoi.
The 27-hole Stone Valley Golf Resort was designed by the talented architect Brian Curley from Schmidt-Curley Design.
Having participated in designing 150 golf courses worldwide, including the massive Mission Hills golf complex, the renowned "golden hands" golf course designer Brian Curley expressed his excitement when invited to design the Kim Bang Golf Course project. He poured all his passion and dedication into this project, aiming to transform it into his new masterpiece in Asia and one of the most beautiful golf courses in Vietnam.
The grass areas have some very impressive shapes, including slopes and ridges as well as hollows and stops, but there are always fairly flat pinable areas. The contours often help the ball get to the flag and are less intimidating than they appear. The fairways typically have areas that kick the ball forward toward the greens, making longer holes play shorter than their distances.
The front nine features an extensive network of slow-moving streams and large lakes. Some holes have sharp, exposed rocks resembling lava fields. These rocky areas appear on the sixth, seventh, and eighth holes. The drivable par-four seventh hole requires carrying a vast rocky field to reach a speed slot fairway that funnels the ball toward the green. The green itself has an impressive 1.5-meter slope down to a back lobe, designed to challenge players' accuracy.
The back nine includes some of the best and most impressive holes. Among them is the short par-four fourteenth, which requires carrying not just one but two significant ridges to reach the landing area and the green. The course is built to crescendo, with the final four holes playing from the highest elevation, offering views of the valley and surrounding mountains.
The par-three fifteenth hole features striking green contours and a friendly rock slope at the back that guides balls toward the hole. The sixteenth starts with a dramatic downhill tee shot and bends right toward a green sloping downward, with a strong back slope to contain shots. The par-three seventeenth and long par-four eighteenth play around the original quarry site, offering breathtaking views of contrasting grass, sand, rock, water, wetlands, and natural outcrops, all with stunning mountain vistas.
